Our award winning back care pilates can help your back become more flexible, stronger and help reduce or even eliminate pain.

This course focuses on the education of anatomy and common back issues including sciatica and non specific low back pain and offers strategies to help relieve pain, strengthen and stretch the muscles.

It also introduces Self Myofascial Release using Foam rollers and balls.

Due to the slower nature of this class It is also a great intro for nervous beginners to Pilates! 

We have had this class at the club for years and those that have been through the course have gone away with a set of tools that can help ease pain, create length and strength in the muscles.

This 30 minute weight training class hits all the muscles in the body and is stacked to leave you feeling that you had a great all round workout in short period of time. 

This class will increase your muscle fibres which in turn can burn more fat. It also helps to create stronger bones!

You choose how much weight you want to lift in this class.  You can start very light and as you get stronger and want more of a challenge you can add more weights.

Pilates was developed by German born Joseph Pilate, Who believed that mental and physical health were closely related. 

Pilates aims to strengthen the body in an even way, with particular emphasis on core strength to improve general fitness and wellbeing.

Focusing on the 6 fundamentals of Pilates (Control, Concentration, Centering, Breathing, Flow and Precision) exercises are timed with your breath so you move at your own pace.

 Pilates exercises are sequenced so that most people can increase strength and flexibility in a way that is suitable for where their fitness levels are today.

Each term we introduce a different piece of equipment to the traditional mat based Pilates class.  Starting the term at its very basic level, adding options each moth to make it more challenging.

A total body conditioning class uses different equipment to tone and tighten all the muscles in your body.

This class works on timed intervals of work followed by timed rest

No need to have rhythm as you do as many repetitions of an exercise in the time as you can.  This means if you are new you can do fewer reps and if you are advanced you can fit as many in as you can.

All is oldies but goldies!

Legs Bums & Tums has been around since the 1980s as a staple class to hit all the right places.

This class literally does what it says on the tin.  Exercises aimed at toning the Legs Bums and Tums!

Wednesday nights are for Dancing

Each track is different from the one before we have a bit of disco, house ,Latin, pop and so much more.

The emphasis on this class is to really have lots of fun.

We turn the lights off and put the disco lights on so you can dance like no one is watching

Does it go wrong? Of course but that's half the fun!

Dance is great as really transports you away from life and get the grey matter really working.

At Club-K we teach Sunshine yoga.

This class has five parts following the travel of the sun as inspiration.

Sunrise
A moment of stillness to let go of the day and to connect to your breath and centre yourself in the class to come

Morning
A series of poses to mobilise the body first introduced slowly with an emphasis on technique. Then repeated faster connecting each exercise to the breath.

Midday
Holding poses for longer to activate and  grow heat in the muscles strengthening them and the tendons.
the series of poses are repeated on both right and left sides of the body keeping it equal.

Afternoon
Deep core and stretches
A series of poses to engage the centre of the body then to lengthen muscle to aid recovery

Sunset
Relaxation and Meditation

(previously Rehabilitation)

 This class is perfect for anyone that has had a GP referral or Been through Phase III/IV Cardiac rehab or is looking for a gentle class to keep them moving.

This class starts with a gentle three part warm up sitting on a chair, then gentle movement standing followed by stretching.

The main part of the class is similar to a circuit class with 6 exercises of 45 seconds then a 30 second transition to the next exercise. The circuit is repeated 3 times.

Rather than being a circuit where you move from station to station you have your own equipment you use.

Finally a cooling down period and stretch to finish.

This class does NOT have any exercises laying on the floor. 
All the exercises are either standing or sitting on a chair.

At Club-K we keep all of our classes small.

Classes are great for both Men and women

The classes have a minimum age of 16 due to safety for body development.

We do not allow children to sit and watch whilst the parent or guardian does the class.

 

  
     

Club-K offers health and fitness Classes including Pilates, Insanity, Dance fitness, Bungee fit, Stretch & Tone a class based on yoga pilates taichi and dance genres as well as Get Fit a Low intensity, low impact aerobics class with muscle toning  and is based in Hextable in Kent it is less than a five mile drive from Swanley, Dartford, Bexley, Darenth, Horton Kirby, south darenth, Crokenhill, Sidcup, Joydenswood, West Kingsdown, orpington, eynesford and hawley.

Classes at Club-K use PPL free and PRS free music with some tracks exclusively made for the club.
